Podere Volpaio “Poggio Marco” Toscana IGT
The Poggio Marco IGT has a beautiful ruby red colour with aromas of ripe red fruits. It recalls fruity sensations on the palate with a particularly persistent elegant and round finish.

Grapes: Sangiovese (70%), Ciliegiolo (10%), Calorino (20%)
Production Area: Montalbano Hills - Vinci
Altitude: Medium hills 80-120m above sea level.
Vineyard Exposure: South-South West-South East
Soil Type: Sediment marine fossils, sandy-clay, pebbly sandstone.
Harvest: End of September. 4800-5200 plants per hectare.
Technique: Guyot and Cordon Rammed. After harvesting the grapes are destemmed and pressed and introduced into the stainless tanks ready for maceration on the skins for about 18 days, at temperatures not exceeding 30 degrees. When alcoholic fermentation completes the wine is decanted into stainless steel containers where fermentation will also take place before bottling.
Recommended Food Pairings: non spicy starters and main courses, white and red grilled meat and medium aged cheese.
Recommended Glass: medium rim, Bordeaux style
